Assignment help for Nottingham students

The University of Nottingham began as University College Nottingham in 1881 and received its royal charter in 1948. A Russell Group member spread across University Park, Jubilee and medical school campuses, it also operates campuses in Malaysia and China, so cohorts are often taught across time zones. Assessment is governed by the university's published quality manual, with module-level detail set by each school.

Referencing

Referencing styles used at Nottingham

“Harvard” is not one style. Institutions and individual schools publish their own variants, and markers notice when punctuation, ordering or the handling of online sources drifts. These are the styles Nottingham students most often bring us — send your school’s guide with the brief and we format to it from the first draft.

Marking conventions

How marking works here

Marks are percentages set against the usual UK classification bands, and Nottingham's quality framework requires each module to publish its assessment criteria and weighting in advance — so the criteria you are marked against are always findable before you start. Schools differ sharply in emphasis: engineering and science modules commonly reward correct method, reproducible working and clear data presentation, while social science and humanities modules reward a sustained argument supported by current scholarship. Anonymous marking, internal moderation and external examiner oversight mean provisional marks can move at the exam board. If you are on a joint honours or an exchange arrangement, check which school's regulations apply to each module — they are not always the same.

Whatever the scale, the practical move is the same: get hold of the criteria grid before you write. Your expert plans the work against it criterion by criterion, writes it from scratch, and annotates it with a marker’s note explaining which paragraph is doing which job.

Timing

Peak deadline periods at Nottingham

Deadlines do not arrive evenly. These are the weeks when Nottingham submissions bunch up — and when every other student in your cohort is asking for the same help at the same time.

Book a slot early
  1. Mid-December to mid-January

autumn semester coursework and January examinations

  2. Late April to May

spring semester coursework and the main exam period

  3. Late August to September

    Master's dissertation submission and reassessment

  4. Book early — it is free to do so

Quotes cost nothing and nothing starts until you approve your expert, so there is no downside to reserving a slot two or three weeks out. Practically, an earlier start buys you a plan review, a draft review and time to actually learn from the work — the three things a 48-hour turnaround cannot give you at any price.

Questions

Nottingham students ask us

The three questions that come up most from University of Nottingham. Anything else, our academic co-ordinators reply in person — 24/7, 365 days a year.

Ask us anything
I study at a Nottingham campus overseas. Does that change the marking standard?

The award and the academic standards are the same, but delivery patterns, module choices and submission times differ. Tell us your campus and your local deadline in your own time zone and we build the milestone plan around it, not around UK office hours.

How do you handle a module with both a report and a reflective element?

They are marked against different criteria, so we treat them separately: an evidence-led report written by your expert, and coaching plus a structure for the reflective piece. Reflection has to be genuinely yours, so there we guide rather than draft.

Can you help me interpret feedback that says 'more critical analysis needed'?

That is one of our most common requests. We take your marked script, show line by line where description could become evaluation, and rewrite two or three paragraphs as annotated exemplars you can learn the move from.
