How we vet subject experts
Five checks, in order, before anyone is allowed near a student brief. Most applicants do not make it past the third.
of the 22,000+ people who applied to write for us last year were approved. The panel is deliberately small — we would rather turn work away than hand it to someone we have not tested.
- 1
Verified degree certificates
Every applicant uploads their award certificate and transcript. We check them against the awarding institution before an application goes any further — no certificate, no interview.
- 2
Subject knowledge test
A timed, closed-book test written by our academic leads for that discipline. Applicants must score 80% or above on module-level questions, not general knowledge.
- 3
Blind sample assessment
A 1,500-word brief at Master's level, marked blind by two existing experts against a real rubric. We score argument, evidence, structure and referencing accuracy separately.
- 4
Academic integrity training
A mandatory module on Turnitin, paraphrasing, source attribution and citation ethics, closed with an assessment. Experts re-sit it every twelve months.
- 5
Ongoing quality scoring
Every delivered piece is scored by the student and spot-audited by a quality lead. Fall below 4.5 across five consecutive orders and you leave the panel.
