Terms of Service

Last updated 1 September 2026

These terms set out what you can expect from GetAssignment and what we expect from you. They form a binding contract, so please read them before placing an order — particularly section 9, which explains your responsibilities around academic integrity.

1. These terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the GetAssignment website and any service you purchase from GetAssignment (“we”, “us”, “our”). By placing an order, creating an account or otherwise using the site, you confirm that you accept these Terms and agree to be bound by them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service.

Our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy and Guarantees are incorporated into these Terms by reference and form part of your agreement with us. Where a conflict arises, these Terms take precedence, save that the Refund Policy governs refunds specifically.

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer. If any provision is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.

2. Eligibility

You may use our services only if you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract. If you are 16 or 17 and in college or sixth form, you may order only with the knowledge and consent of a parent, guardian or fee-paying account holder, and we may ask you to confirm this before we proceed.

You must not use the service if you are barred from doing so under the laws of your country of residence, or if your educational institution’s regulations prohibit engaging third-party academic support. It is your responsibility — not ours — to check your institution’s policy before ordering. We are happy to help you understand how our materials can be used compliantly, but we cannot advise on the rules of a specific institution.

You warrant that all information you give us is accurate and that you are ordering for yourself. You may not resell, redistribute or commercialise anything we produce for you.

3. What we provide

GetAssignment is an academic support service. We supply learning materials and guidance designed to help you understand your subject, structure your thinking and improve your own work. Specifically, we offer:

  • Bespoke written work and reference solutions — work researched and written from scratch to your brief by a subject expert qualified in the relevant discipline, showing how a strong response to a question is constructed, argued and referenced.
  • Editing and proofreading — structural, linguistic and referencing improvements to a draft that you have written.
  • Research and study aids — literature summaries, annotated bibliographies, outlines, revision notes and methodology support.

Everything we produce is supplied as reference material for learning. It is not supplied for submission as your own work, and you agree not to submit it as such. A fully worked solution produced by your assigned expert is a teaching artefact, in the same way that a worked example in a textbook or a past-paper solution published by an examiner is a teaching artefact. Use it to see how the argument is built, then build your own.

Original authorship warranty. We warrant that every piece of work we supply is researched, written and checked by the subject experts on our own team, each qualified in the discipline concerned, and is composed from scratch to your individual brief. We further warrant that no part of the work we supply to you is researched, drafted, written, rewritten or paraphrased by automated writing tools, and that we neither resell nor recycle work from a database of previous orders. Should we ever breach this warranty, you are entitled to a full refund under our Refund Policy, in addition to your statutory rights.

We do not sit examinations, complete online tests or assessments on your behalf, log into your institutional accounts, impersonate you in any context, or guarantee any particular grade, mark or classification. Any request of that kind will be declined and the order cancelled.

4. Accounts and the order process

To place an order you submit a brief describing the subject, academic level, length, deadline, referencing style and any specific requirements, together with supporting files. The more precise your brief, the better the outcome — and the stronger your position if you later need a revision or refund.

A quote is an invitation to treat, not an offer. The contract between us forms only when we confirm your order in writing and payment has been authorised. We reserve the right to decline any order, in particular where the request falls outside section 3, where the deadline is not realistically achievable at the required standard, or where we cannot source a suitably qualified expert.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity carried out under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

Changes to the brief after work has begun may affect price and deadline. Material changes — a different question, a substantially higher word count, a new referencing style — will be treated as a new instruction and quoted accordingly. We will always confirm any additional cost before proceeding.

5. Payment terms

All prices are quoted in GBP and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Every brief is priced individually by our team, and the quoted figure is the figure you pay; we do not add hidden fees for formatting, a reference list, a title page or a plagiarism report.

Payment is arranged directly with our team once you approve your quote: the full amount is due on approval, and work begins once it is confirmed. For larger projects such as dissertations, the schedule of milestones and deliverables is agreed in writing before work starts.

No card details are collected on this website. Payment methods and instructions are confirmed with you directly by our team when you approve a quote. If a payment fails or is reversed, we may suspend delivery until the balance is cleared.

Discounts and promotional offers cannot be combined unless expressly stated, must be agreed before payment, and cannot be applied retrospectively. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

6. Delivery and revisions

We deliver to the deadline you set, measured from the time payment is confirmed and the brief is complete. Deadlines are calculated in your local time zone and shown to you before you pay. Delivery is made to your account dashboard and notified by email.

You are entitled to unlimited free revisions for 30 days from delivery, provided the request is consistent with the original brief. Revisions that introduce new requirements are quoted separately. Full detail of what is covered is set out in our Guarantees.

Please review your materials promptly. If we do not hear from you within 30 days we will treat the order as accepted, though our support desk will still help you wherever we reasonably can.

7. Intellectual property and your licence

All intellectual property rights in the website, our templates, our methodology and our brand belong to us or our licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers those rights to you.

Copyright in the materials we produce for you remains with us. On receipt of full payment we grant you a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use those materials for your own private study, research and reference — reading them, learning from them, quoting from them with proper attribution, and building your own work on the understanding they give you.

The licence does not permit you to submit the materials, in whole or substantial part, as your own work for assessment; to publish, upload, sell, share or otherwise distribute them, including to essay banks, file-sharing sites or classmates; or to use them for any commercial purpose. Breach of these restrictions terminates the licence immediately.

You retain all rights in the material you supply to us. By uploading it you grant us a limited licence to use it solely for the purpose of fulfilling your order, and you confirm you have the right to share it with us.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful, fraudulent or deceptive purpose.
  • Ask us to sit an exam, complete a timed assessment, or access an institutional system using your credentials.
  • Upload material that infringes a third party’s rights, contains malware, or is defamatory, obscene or unlawful.
  • Attempt to circumvent our security, scrape the site, reverse-engineer our systems or interfere with their operation.
  • Contact, solicit or attempt to hire our experts outside the platform, or ask them to deal with you directly.
  • Abuse, threaten, harass or discriminate against our staff or experts. We will end the relationship and issue a refund for undelivered work if this occurs.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches this section, without refund for work already delivered.

9. Your academic integrity responsibilities

This section matters more than any other. We take academic integrity seriously, and by ordering you accept the responsibilities below.

  • You will read and comply with your institution’s regulations on academic misconduct, contract cheating and permitted assistance.
  • You will treat our materials as reference and learning resources, in the way you would treat a textbook chapter, a tutorial worked example or a specimen solution published by an examining board.
  • You will not present our work, or a lightly paraphrased version of it, as your own for credit.
  • Where you draw on our materials in your own work, you will cite them properly using your institution’s referencing conventions.
  • You accept that responsibility for how you use the materials rests entirely with you, and that we are not liable for any academic penalty arising from misuse.

We provide tools to help you use our support well: an originality report with every delivery, annotated explanations of why the argument works, and access to your expert to talk the reasoning through. Ask us how to use custom written work properly — it is the question our support desk most likes to answer.

10. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Subject to that, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with an order, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise, is limited to the total amount you paid us for that order.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or for any academic consequence — including a mark, grade, classification, progression decision or disciplinary outcome — arising from how you choose to use the materials we supply. We make no representation or warranty as to the grade any piece of work would achieve, and any statement about typical outcomes is illustrative only.

We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including internet or hosting outages, payment provider failure, natural disaster, war or civil emergency. Where such an event prevents delivery, we will refund you in full.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GetAssignment, its directors, employees, contractors and experts against all claims, demands, proceedings, losses, damages, costs and reasonable legal fees arising from or connected with:

  • your breach of these Terms, including sections 8 and 9;
  • your submission of our materials for assessment as your own work, or any disciplinary or legal consequence that follows;
  • any material you upload that infringes the intellectual property, privacy or other rights of a third party;
  • your unlawful or negligent use of the service.

This indemnity survives termination of your account and of these Terms.

12. Termination

You may close your account at any time by telling us through support@getassignment.in. Closure does not entitle you to a refund for work already delivered, and does not affect orders in progress unless you also cancel them under the Refund Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you breach these Terms, if payment is not made when due, if we suspect fraud or chargeback abuse, or if you ask us to do something that falls outside section 3. Where termination is not your fault, we will refund all sums paid for undelivered work.

Sections 7, 9, 10, 11 and 13 survive termination, as does any provision that by its nature is intended to.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms, their subject matter and their formation are governed by the law of England and Wales. You and we agree that the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with them.

If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your home nation, and you retain the benefit of any mandatory consumer protection provisions of the law of the country in which you are resident.

We would far rather resolve a dispute directly. Please contact our support desk first; we resolve the overwhelming majority of complaints within 48 hours without anyone needing to involve a lawyer.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our services, our suppliers or the law. The version in force when you place an order is the version that governs that order, so a later change cannot be applied retrospectively to work you have already bought.

The “last updated” date at the top of this page shows when the current version took effect. Where a change is material we will notify registered customers by email at least 14 days before it applies. Continuing to use the service after that period constitutes acceptance. Previous versions are available on request via support@getassignment.in.
