Assignment help for Manchester Met students

Manchester Metropolitan University traces its origins to the Manchester Mechanics' Institute of 1824 and became a university in 1992, having previously been Manchester Polytechnic. It is one of the largest universities in the UK by student numbers, with a compact city-centre campus and notable strength in business, health, education, law and the creative arts, including the Manchester Writing School. Its library publishes a named institutional Harvard guide, which most schools expect students to follow to the letter.

Referencing

Referencing styles used at Manchester Met

“Harvard” is not one style. Institutions and individual schools publish their own variants, and markers notice when punctuation, ordering or the handling of online sources drifts. These are the styles Manchester Met students most often bring us — send your school’s guide with the brief and we format to it from the first draft.

  • Manchester Met Harvard

Formatted to your school’s published guide, with every citation traceable to a source you can open yourself.

  • APA 7th

Formatted to your school’s published guide, with every citation traceable to a source you can open yourself.

  • OSCOLA (law)

Marking conventions

How marking works here

Manchester Met marks in percentages against the standard UK bands, with taught Master's work passing at 50 and reaching merit at 60 and distinction at 70. Assessment briefs are published with criteria and weightings attached, and many are marked using a rubric inside the virtual learning environment, so feedback arrives criterion by criterion rather than as a single comment. Because the institution publishes its own Harvard guide, referencing consistency is explicitly assessed on a large number of modules — mixing in APA punctuation is a visible error. Marks are moderated within the department and sampled externally, and the university's assessment regulations govern extensions, exceptional factors and reassessment, with caps normally applied to resat components.

Whatever the scale, the practical move is the same: get hold of the criteria grid before you write. Your expert plans the work against it criterion by criterion, writes it from scratch, and annotates it with a marker’s note explaining which paragraph is doing which job.

Timing

Peak deadline periods at Manchester Met

Deadlines do not arrive evenly. These are the weeks when Manchester Met submissions bunch up — and when every other student in your cohort is asking for the same help at the same time.

Book a slot early
  1. Early to mid-January

first semester coursework and the January assessment period

  2. Late April to mid-May

second semester coursework and end-of-year assessment

  3. August to September

resit period and postgraduate dissertation submission

  4. Book early — it is free to do so

Quotes cost nothing and nothing starts until you approve your expert, so there is no downside to reserving a slot two or three weeks out. Practically, an earlier start buys you a plan review, a draft review and time to actually learn from the work — the three things a 48-hour turnaround cannot give you at any price.

Ask us anything
How closely do markers actually follow the Manchester Met Harvard guide?

Closely enough that it costs marks. Many rubrics carry a dedicated referencing criterion, so a reference list formatted in a different Harvard variant reads as a mistake rather than a stylistic choice. We format to the institutional guide from the outset.

Can you support a placement-based or practice module?

We support the written elements — the evidence base, the structure of a reflective account, the link between practice standards and academic literature. Your placement experience and reflection must be yours; we help you evidence and articulate it.

I have three deadlines in the same week in January. Where should I start?

With a triage call. We look at the weightings, the criteria and where your current drafts sit, then sequence the support so the highest-weighted or most recoverable piece gets attention first. That planning conversation is free.
