Assignment help for Cardiff students

Cardiff University was founded in 1883 as the University College of South Wales and Monmouthshire and is the only Welsh member of the Russell Group. Its three colleges cover arts, humanities and social sciences; biomedical and life sciences; and physical sciences and engineering, with a large healthcare portfolio and the well-known School of Journalism, Media and Culture. Welsh-medium study and assessment are available on some programmes, which is a genuine difference from institutions in England.

Referencing

Referencing styles used at Cardiff

“Harvard” is not one style. Institutions and individual schools publish their own variants, and markers notice when punctuation, ordering or the handling of online sources drifts. These are the styles Cardiff students most often bring us — send your school’s guide with the brief and we format to it from the first draft.

  • Cardiff Harvard

Formatted to your school’s published guide, with every citation traceable to a source you can open yourself.

  • Vancouver (healthcare)

  • OSCOLA (law)

Marking conventions

How marking works here

Cardiff marks in percentages against the standard UK classification bands and publishes assessment criteria at module level, with schools issuing their own grade descriptors for essays, reports, portfolios and practical work. Healthcare and biosciences modules generally expect numeric referencing and a current evidence base, whereas social science and humanities modules reward argument, criticality and engagement with contemporary debate — so the same effort spent in the wrong register scores differently. The university's academic regulations cover extenuating circumstances, late penalties and word-count rules; schools administer them, so your school office rather than a coursemate is the reliable source. Marks are moderated internally and sampled by external examiners before an exam board confirms them.

Whatever the scale, the practical move is the same: get hold of the criteria grid before you write. Your expert plans the work against it criterion by criterion, writes it from scratch, and annotates it with a marker’s note explaining which paragraph is doing which job.

Timing

Peak deadline periods at Cardiff

Deadlines do not arrive evenly. These are the weeks when Cardiff submissions bunch up — and when every other student in your cohort is asking for the same help at the same time.

Book a slot early
  1. Early to mid-January

autumn semester coursework and January examinations

  2. Late April to May

spring semester coursework and the main exam period

  3. Mid-August to September

Master's dissertations and the resit period

  4. Book early — it is free to do so

Quotes cost nothing and nothing starts until you approve your expert, so there is no downside to reserving a slot two or three weeks out. Practically, an earlier start buys you a plan review, a draft review and time to actually learn from the work — the three things a 48-hour turnaround cannot give you at any price.

Questions

Cardiff students ask us

The three questions that come up most from Cardiff University. Anything else, our academic co-ordinators reply in person — 24/7, 365 days a year.

Ask us anything
I study through the medium of Welsh. Can you support that?

Our expert panel writes in English, so we support Welsh-medium students with English-language reference material, structural planning and 1-to-1 guidance on argument and method. We will tell you plainly at quote stage rather than promise a translation service we do not run.

What does a Cardiff healthcare module usually expect from the evidence base?

Recent, primary and appraised. Reference material we build for nursing and allied health briefs prioritises current studies and reviews, cites numerically where the module requires it, and notes the level of evidence so you can justify each source in the discussion.

Can you help with a journalism portfolio rather than an essay?

Yes — the support looks different. For portfolio and practice-based assessment we work on the reflective commentary, the structure of the pitch and the critical framing, since the creative output has to be your own work to be assessable at all.
